Work Environment

This position offers a fully remote work setting, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while focusing on your patients. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians, all working collaboratively to promote integrated mental health and primary care. Participation in weekly clinical meetings fosters teamwork, ensuring that our care approaches are cohesive and well-aligned to address patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the mental health needs of patients experiencing crises, employing crisis intervention strategies such as de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with crisis triage, which may involve coordinating care with public mental health crisis response teams.
• Engage in follow-up assessments and prevention planning post-crisis, collaborating with outside agencies as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and administrative records in compliance with contractual and billing requirements, submitting encounter forms regularly to facilitate reimbursement processes.
• Contribute to clinical discussions during weekly meetings, sharing insights and strategies to enhance integrated behavioral and physical healthcare services.
• Provide culturally competent mental health services to diverse and often underserved populations, ensuring sensitivity to their unique circumstances and backgrounds.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LPCC in this role will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Our clinic is particularly focused on serving disadvantaged populations, and as such, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of those who may otherwise face barriers to care. Your expertise and understanding of culturally sensitive practices will be a critical asset in navigating the complexities of each patient's journey to recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Counseling or a related field, with a valid California LPCC license.
• Minimum of two years of experience providing mental health counseling.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, which is essential for documentation and communication.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based interventions for mental health conditions, particularly depression and anxiety.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a remote, interdisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience engaging with children, adolescents, and families in providing therapeutic intervention services.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual patient management systems.
• Prior experience working with high-risk and diverse patient populations in either a clinical or community-based setting.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
