Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and patterns. Collaborate with clients to design individualized treatment plans that are reflective of their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals. Provide evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address mood-related challenges. Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster understanding and engagement. Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with their evolving mental health needs. Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and integrated treatment options. Stay informed on the latest research and methodologies within mood disorder treatment to continually enhance your therapeutic approach. Maintain confidential and thorough documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and treatment strategies, complying with all relevant legal and ethical standards. Participate actively in team-based case consultations and ongoing professional development to refine clinical skills and share best practices. Actively advocate for clients by promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders and inspiring proactive engagement in their mental health care. Patient Population / Client Focus The therapist will work primarily with individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our patient population is diverse, reflecting the multicultural community within Glendale and surrounding areas. Therapists will be trained to appreciate and address the unique cultural and social factors that influence clients' mental health experiences. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona. Proficient knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices, particularly CBT and DBT. Understanding of psychopharmacology and the capacity to work closely with psychiatrists to provide integrated care. Demonstrated success in delivering therapeutic outcomes for clients facing mood disorders. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport with a varied client base. Preferred Experience While the minimum qualifications are essential, candidates with previous experience in an outpatient mental health setting and a proven track record of working with mood disorders will be viewed favorably. Prior engagement in professional development activities and training related to the latest therapeutic techniques is a plus, as is familiarity with telehealth tools to facilitate remote counseling. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 80,000 and USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
