Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to understand client needs and customize interactive treatment plans.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

• Collaborate as a team member to monitor client outcomes, analyzing the effectiveness of interventions and adjusting strategies as necessary.

• Engage with families, offering guidance and support to enhance their understanding of mental health impacts on their children, fostering a healthy learning environment.

• Develop joint plans with families, leveraging evidence-based practices to recommend strategic interventions tailored to their unique contexts.

• Utilize the coaching model and natural environment teaching techniques to embed therapeutic ideas into daily routines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on diverse client populations, primarily children and their families facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of direct professional experience in mental health counseling, with a strong emphasis on family dynamics.
\n
• Current Associate or Licensed status with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or progress towards licensure.
\n
• Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing documentation and administrative tasks efficiently.

• Strong self-motivation and initiative, particularly regarding timely billing and accurate client documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with telehealth services and a proficient understanding of how to leverage technology to support therapeutic practices.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
