Key Responsibilities\n

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strengths-based assessments for new patients and their families to identify mental health needs.

• Provide individual and family therapy sessions tailored to address the unique needs of each patient, focusing on cultivating their strengths and coping skills.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of sessions, including billing, individualized treatment plans, and necessary insurance authorization forms, ensuring compliance within designated timeframes.

• Develop crisis plans, safety planning, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans to support patients in achieving and maintaining stable functioning.

• Create comprehensive discharge plans that facilitate smooth transitions from therapy to independent management.
\n
• Stay informed and compliant with all current federal and state laws as well as agency policies and procedures.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including training sessions, continuing education opportunities, and consultations with colleagues.

• Participate in regular case consultations and agency meetings to discuss patient progress and improve service delivery.

• Complete all necessary licensure requirements and mandatory training on time.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role serves a diverse population of individuals and families seeking mental health support. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that meets the requirements for licensure.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

Preferred Experience\n
