Recovery Mind Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health counselor to join our growing team as a Trauma Specialist. In this full-time role, you will offer vital mental health support to individuals coping with the effects of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma. This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while working in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' unique trauma histories, guiding the therapy process.

• Design and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery, resilience, and personal growth.

• Implement evidence-based practices including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in your sessions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that provide patients with a safe space to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and holistic care for patients.

• Offer crisis intervention services and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available to aid in recovery.
\n
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interactions while adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

• Stay informed about the latest advances in trauma therapy to enhance treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will primarily serve individuals who have faced varying degrees of trauma, including complex trauma and PTSD. Your role will be vital in helping these patients navigate their healing journeys, focusing on providing trauma-informed care through a compassionate, empathetic lens. By building trusting relationships, you will significantly impact their recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-specific therapies and interventions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on providing compassionate, non-judgmental care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
