Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ backgrounds, including past traumas and their psychological impacts.

• Collaborate with patients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on promoting recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate discussions in group settings, enabling patients to share their experiences, develop coping strategies, and promote healing within a supportive community.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and integrated care for patients.

• Offer timely crisis intervention and continuous support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about coping mechanisms, trauma responses, and community resources available for support.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient progress and treatment activities in alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, participating in case consultations, team meetings, and staying updated on advancements in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including those coping with PTSD and associated disorders. This role will require you to foster a trusting and compassionate relationship with patients, understanding their unique experiences and providing tailored support. Your interventions will directly contribute to their recovery journeys and overall mental health improvement.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, especially with trauma-focused therapeutic practices.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed care methodologies, and resilience-building strategies.

• Effective communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• The capability to remain composed in high-stress situations, fostering a calm environment for patients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma-focused therapy or specialized training in therapeutic modalities will be at a significant advantage.
