Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to document client histories and assess mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Evaluate clients through standardized assessments and clinical interviews to identify key issues affecting their mental health.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for diverse client populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue and promote healing.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to formulate comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Maintain regular communication with hospitals and other treatment facilities regarding client care during hospital admissions.

• Educate clients on coping strategies while identifying and addressing behaviors that hinder recovery.

• Provide support to family members and primary caregivers, enhancing their ability to assist clients facing mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A successful pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, accompanied by an exceptional ability to establish rapport with clients.

• Strong clinical insight supported by previous experience as a mental health counselor in a professional setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience dealing with co-occurring disorders, including addiction and related health conditions.

• Understanding of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of the implications of prescribed medication therapies, particularly those involving mental health diagnoses.

• A compassionate and empathetic approach, demonstrating both interpersonal skills and professional insight into client needs.

Compensation and Benefits\n
