Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' mental health, focusing specifically on mood disorders through structured interviews and standardized questionnaires.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with students, their families, and educational staff, ensuring each plan aligns with their individual goals and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively.

• Educate and support clients and their families on recognizing symptoms of mood disorders and implementing self-care strategies tailored to their situations.

• Monitor and evaluate the progress of each client, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize mental health outcomes and wellbeing.

• Work in partnership with psychiatrists and educational professionals to provide holistic care, participating in collaborative meetings to discuss client progress and necessary interventions.

• Stay informed on the latest research developments in the field of mood disorders to enhance treatment methodologies and integrate new insights into practice.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation of treatment sessions, assessments, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and professional development initiatives to improve clinical skills and stay current with best practices in mental health.

• Advocate for students' mental health needs within the community, promoting the understanding and de-stigmatization of mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve school-aged children and adolescents, many of whom may face barriers to accessing traditional mental health services. The diverse background of our clientele means you will encounter a variety of cultural perspectives and experiences that enrich your therapeutic practice. Your contribution will directly support the mental and emotional development of young people, helping them navigate the complexities of adolescence while coping with mood disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California.

• A minimum of three years of post-licensure experience, ideally in a counseling role focused on mood disorders.

• Strong expertise in therapeutic modalities, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Understanding of therapeutic integration with psychopharmacological treatments, working effectively with psychiatrists and collaborative care teams.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan options, and paid time off.
