Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand client histories and evaluate the symptoms, severity, and frequency of mood disorder manifestations.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client goals and specific situations, ensuring ongoing adjustments as necessary based on therapeutic progress.

• Utilize evidence-based treatment strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to foster positive changes in clients' mental health.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, effective treatment options, and various self-care techniques to support their mental health.

• Monitor client progress meticulously, utilizing clear metrics and documentation to adjust therapeutic approaches when necessary.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and school personnel, ensuring a cohesive approach to care that prioritizes students' emotional and psychological needs.

• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed on new research and methodologies regarding mood disorders and therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and progress notes in line with ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on children and adolescents experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your expertise will help students navigate their emotional landscapes, fostering resilience and a stronger foundation for their academic and personal lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical mental health settings with an emphasis on mood disorders.

• Proficiency in evidence-based practices, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• Advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) in relevant fields are preferred.

• Two years of post-licensure experience in the treatment of mood disorders is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
