Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that respond to the unique needs of each patient, including creating crisis intervention plans, behavioral guidelines, and medication management strategies.

• Document patient interactions and clinical assessments in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools as part of the clinical team’s approach to mental health treatment.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to cultivate and implement effective positive behavior support plans for patients.

• Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes to maintain organizational standards of care.

• Serve as a representative and liaison for clients within community systems, while building relationships with state and local agencies to enhance service delivery.

• Foster transparent communication and collaboration between team members, agencies, and community partners to ensure alignment with our mission.

• Participate in professional development opportunities, including attending relevant conferences and engaging in task forces that relate to mental health services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As part of the Medical Rehabilitation Services team, counselors will support a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing emotional distress, those in recovery from substance use disorders, and individuals with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in a behavioral health field is required.

• Current independent LMHC license issued by the state board in Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits\n
