The Youth Mental Advocate Counseling Center is actively seeking dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our innovative psychotherapy group practice. This full-time or part-time remote role allows clinicians the opportunity to dedicate their expertise to improving mental health outcomes while enjoying a flexible work schedule. With a focus on providing high-quality care, therapists can manage their own caseloads, ranging from 10 to 30 billable hours per week, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

This position is fully remote, harnessing the capabilities of telehealth to deliver psychotherapy services. Therapists will operate in a supportive environment where administrative tasks are handled by our dedicated staff. This allows clinicians to concentrate on what they do best: delivering exceptional care to their clients without the burden of extensive paperwork or scheduling logistics. Team members are encouraged to engage in regular group consultations, which can occur virtually or, when occasionally beneficial, face-to-face.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and deliver short-term psychotherapy intervention tailored to individual, couples, family, or group modalities.

• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques including crisis intervention, brief therapy, skills training, and supportive therapy to address the diverse needs of clients.

• Engage in collaborative consultations with other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to formulate assessment and treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of therapy sessions, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with organizational and state guidelines.

• Support efforts to assess and propose interventions for clients experiencing dual disorders, ensuring holistic treatment approaches are explored.

• Promote mental well-being through outreach and education, providing resources to clients and the community regarding mental health issues.

• Attend clinical team meetings to discuss complex cases, enhance treatment strategies, and contribute to quality management initiatives.

• Leverage telehealth platforms effectively, maintaining a high standard of care while adapting interventions to fit this format.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base primarily consists of youth and families grappling with mental health challenges. Therapists will engage with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, relationship conflicts, and other psychological disorders. The focus on dual diagnosis clients necessitates a well-rounded approach, ensuring that clients receive holistic care tailored to their unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a current and valid LMFT license in the state of New Jersey, or possess a Psy.D to practice.

• Educational background must include a Master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychotherapy services is required, demonstrating an ability to navigate varied clinical scenarios.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
