Leslie Psychotherapy Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient office team in Yakima, Washington. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility while also requiring occasional in-office participation for key activities such as team meetings and collaborative case reviews. You will maintain regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evening shifts as needed based on the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing standardized tools and engaging in sensitive conversations to understand their unique experiences.

• Develop and implement evidence-informed treatment plans tailored to the developmental stages and family dynamics of each youth.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including play therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to effectively address concerns such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to involve parents and guardians actively in the treatment process, equipping them with tools to create a nurturing home environment.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members, including social workers and school counselors, to ensure comprehensive care and consistent treatment approaches.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of young clients.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment methodologies, and available community resources for additional support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines for privacy.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to apply best practices in treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents, ranging from ages 5 to 18, dealing with a variety of mental health challenges including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, integration issues, and behavioral concerns. You will strive to connect with young clients, recognizing their unique developmental stages and the critical role their families play in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of Washington is essential.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated ability to provide both individual and family therapy in a manner that is compassionate, engaging, and client-centered.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to connect with children and families from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.

• A team-oriented approach that values collaboration and mutual support among colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working in child and adolescent mental health settings is preferred.

• Experience in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions and familiarity with family systems approaches.

• Prior involvement in managing crisis situations effectively and compassionately is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also provide a generous sign-on bonus.
