Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patient needs, strengths, and treatment goals, tailored to their unique situations.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to facilitate patient growth and progress.

• Lead psychoeducational and support groups, providing vital resources and fostering a sense of belonging for individuals facing similar challenges.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration by working alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services, enabling immediate support and resolutions in mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues and treatment options while guiding them through available community resources.
\n
• Ensure all patient documentation is accurate and confidential, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical practices and share insights with colleagues.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health therapy through continuous learning and professional engagement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will provide care primarily to diverse populations of adults, children, and families experiencing a wide variety of mental health hardships. The Yakima community is diverse, and therapists are challenged to adapt their approaches to meet the specific cultural and individual needs of each patient, ensuring a personalized and effective treatment experience.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
\n
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in mental health therapy or a field producing relevant therapeutic skills.
\n
• Must possess a current and valid licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington State.
\n
• Proficient knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and proven assessment skills.
\n
• Experience in both individual and group therapy settings, engaging with a diverse client base.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for empathetic and effective patient engagement.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities that support evidence-based decision-making in clinical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
