Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, providing flexibility while maintaining a collaborative approach with the treatment team. You will work closely with our Clinical Director and Executive Director to foster a therapeutic environment for clients. The remote setting allows for a focus on serving those in detox facilities, enhancing recovery for patients at various points in their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ needs regarding mental health and substance abuse issues.
\n
• Utilize DSM criteria for accurate substance abuse diagnosis and determine the appropriate level of care based on ASAM criteria.
\n
• Prepare and implement specific substance abuse counseling plans aligned with each client’s treatment goals.
\n
• Develop, review, and update discharge and continuum of care plans ensuring clients are transitioned effectively through different levels of care.
\n
• Document all counseling services, including assessments and follow-ups, meticulously in each client's clinical record.
\n
• Maintain a manageable caseload while coordinating and providing case management and utilization reviews as needed.
\n
• Facilitate client and family support services, ensuring that these interactions are accurately recorded in clinical documentation.
\n
• Engage with referral sources such as legal entities, educational institutions, or employers to foster a supportive network for clients.
\n
• Address crisis-oriented issues through essential interventions and a multi-disciplinary team approach, prioritizing client safety and progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve often face complex challenges, including dual diagnoses of mental health disorders alongside substance use issues. Your role is critical in understanding their unique circumstances, providing tailored counseling that aids in their recovery, and fostering resilience within a supportive therapeutic framework.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work and be a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Demonstrated expertise in providing counseling for co-occurring disorders.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively with a focus on client-centered care.

• Exemplary professionalism and the ability to maintain therapeutic boundaries with clients.

• Ability to demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity in client interactions.

• Proficient with electronic health record systems and familiarity with treatment planning methodologies.
