Join TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center as a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist, where you will play a critical role in helping patients restore their mobility and achieve their optimum function. Located in the heart of Lakewood, New Jersey, TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center prides itself on delivering exceptional outpatient orthopedic care. Our practice is therapist-owned and offers a state-of-the-art 5,000 square-foot sports medicine facility equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies. We primarily serve individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring an environment that prioritizes personalized patient care. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, all dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration and support.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position, where the Physical Therapist will be working directly in our welcoming and innovative treatment facility. The clinic atmosphere encourages teamwork and mutual support, allowing therapists to collaborate closely on patient care initiatives. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that supports work-life balance while meeting the demands of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's goals and requirements.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, providing individualized care and treatment to one patient per hour.
• Apply proven physical therapy methods tailored to the orthopedic population to improve clients' range of motion and mobility.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that bring together various treatment techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
• Design and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs specifically matched to each patient's needs, ensuring safe, effective rehabilitation.
• Document all patient care services accurately, maintaining a clear record of progress and outcomes.
• Engage in open communication with patients, fostering motivation and encouraging adherence to their treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a well-rounded and effective patient care approach.
• Emphasize methods that reduce reliance on medications and explore alternatives to surgical procedures.
• Continuously evaluate treatment outcomes to modify and improve patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We cater predominantly to patients with orthopedic conditions who require outpatient rehabilitation services. This includes athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals regaining strength and mobility post-surgery, and those managing chronic pain conditions. As a Physical Therapist, you'll be integral in creating impactful treatment experiences that focus on our patients' unique lifestyles and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a strong background in developing and implementing exercise protocols.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a private practice or outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate patients throughout their recovery process.
• Specialized training or certifications in manual therapy or sports rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and continuing education support to encourage ongoing professional development.
