Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist specializing in orthopedics, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs based on physician referrals.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on the latest research and clinical guidelines.
• Utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, modalities, and tools to improve patients' strength, mobility, and function.
• Providing consultations, education, and training to patients and their caregivers on effective self-care techniques.
• Meeting established utilization goals while driving innovative practices to enhance service delivery.
• Documenting patient progress and adapting treatment protocols as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on patients with orthopedic conditions but also encompasses a diverse range of cases, including pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine clients. You will have the unique opportunity to work with various demographics, each presenting distinct challenges and treatment needs. By establishing strong, supportive relationships with your patients, you will help them achieve their functional goals and regain confidence in their physical abilities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid State License to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in documentation and reporting, with strong computer skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

To excel in this role, candidates should have at least two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating the ability to handle complex cases effectively. Experience working in a rehabilitation center or a similar healthcare setting is highly preferred. Compensation and Benefits
