Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, taking into account their medical history, pain levels, and functional limitations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on evaluation outcomes, incorporating patients and their families into goal-setting processes to enhance motivation and compliance.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, utilizing advanced techniques and modalities appropriate for orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, including detailed evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and modify treatment plans as needed in response to patient progress.
• Assist in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care through appropriate follow-up recommendations for patients completing their therapy courses.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and marketing activities to promote physical therapy services and enhance patient access to care.
• Contribute to departmental goals by actively partaking in quality improvement projects and training programs.
• Encourage a positive patient experience, demonstrating flexibility in adapting treatment sessions to meet individual patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions that impact their movement and function. The therapist will play a crucial role in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, addressing both physical and emotional aspects of recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy is required to practice in New Jersey.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• A commitment to professional development and continuing education to stay abreast of best practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
