The position is located at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Metuchen, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement customized treatment programs for patients referred by physicians, ensuring alignment with their specific rehabilitation goals.
• Commit to maintaining clear and effective communication with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and advanced rehabilitation techniques, conducting exercises and hands-on therapies appropriate for orthopedic and other special populations.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Minimize barriers to recovery by providing education and tools for patients and caregivers to facilitate home exercise and lifestyle changes.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions to contribute insights and strategies aimed at improving patient care and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist in this position will have the unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, treating individuals with orthopedic injuries, sports-related issues, pediatric cases, and neurological conditions. Your expertise will not only help in pain management and mobility restoration but will also empower patients to regain confidence in their physical abilities and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License for Physical Therapy in New Jersey is required.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for successful patient interactions and documentation.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practice models and the latest therapeutic technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
