Reliant Orthopedic and Sports is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at our Rehabilitation Center located in Metuchen, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Direct tailored physical therapy treatments focusing on alleviating pain, restoring movement, and enhancing muscle function, while maintaining patients' independence and maximum performance as outlined in their individualized care plans.
• Lead and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure correct implementation of treatment protocols, promoting consistency and effective patient outcomes.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional capabilities through diagnostic tests to establish tailored rehabilitation plans.
• Assess the patient's home environment and provide recommendations to facilitate rehabilitation and increase independence.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual exercises, traction, and other modalities to promote recovery.
• Evaluate, fit, and modify prostheses and orthotic devices as necessary, collaborating closely with physicians for optimal patient care.
• Document clinical findings and treatment updates accurately through EMR software, particularly using Web PT, to ensure precise and up-to-date patient records.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary case conferences to coordinate comprehensive treatment approaches among healthcare providers.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on best practices for therapy at home and proper usage of therapeutic devices.
• Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and refinement of care plans, ensuring they align with each patient's evolving needs.
• Stay accessible to PTAs during treatment sessions, ensuring that best practices are followed and patient safety remains a priority.
• Complete additional assignments as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Reliant Orthopedic and Sports, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from post-surgical orthopedic patients to athletes recovering from sports injuries. Each patient presents unique challenges and requires specialized treatment plans tailored to their specific conditions, lifestyle, and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possess an active and impeccable Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey, with no history of sanctions.
• Highly skilled in various manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
• Proficient with electronic medical record systems, especially Web PT, for accurate documentation.
• Current knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy practices and protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a rehabilitation center or a similar clinical setting is a plus.
• Strong background in interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care practices.
• Experience in community outreach or education programs would be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
