Key Responsibilities The Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for the following: Conducting thorough assessments of new clients to accurately determine their mental health needs and goals. Developing tailored treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques. Providing individual therapy sessions through telehealth, ensuring accessibility for clients with varying needs. Monitoring client progress towards their therapeutic goals and modifying treatment plans as necessary. Maintaining meticulous documentation of client sessions, treatment plans, and progress to ensure adherence to ethical standards. Participating in team meetings and case consultations to promote a collaborative approach to client care. Pursuing ongoing professional development by attending workshops, training sessions, and relevant training opportunities. Patient Population / Client Focus Our counselors will primarily work with a diverse clientele struggling with various mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship challenges. We strive to provide tailored support that meets the unique cultural, emotional, and psychological needs of each individual. Our approach is centered around building trust and fostering openings for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment. Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications: A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field, although a Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on interpersonal abilities. An empathetic and compassionate approach, coupled with a non-judgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences. Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple clients while ensuring quality care. Preferred Experience In addition to the required qualifications, the following experiences are preferable for candidates: Prior experience in a private practice setting or teletherapy environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for client documentation and scheduling. Experience working with diverse populations, including minorities and marginalized communities.
