Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs, focusing on the frequency, severity, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, ensuring that their specific goals and preferences are prioritized.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment outcomes.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, discussing treatment options and promoting self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans and interventions as necessary to optimize results.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

• Stay informed on the latest developments in mood disorder treatment and best practices to continually enhance therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Act as an advocate for patients, promoting awareness and understanding of mental health issues to reduce stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on patients dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. You will be working closely with a varied demographic, ranging from adolescents to adults, who require specialized intervention to manage their mental health conditions effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Pennsylvania.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and collaborative care principles.
