Work Environment

This position will be set in our welcoming outpatient office located in Howell, New Jersey. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment, enabling you to employ various therapeutic techniques and methodologies. You will work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and support staff, all dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, identifying treatment needs and setting appropriate rehabilitation goals.
• Create individualized treatment plans that encompass various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, exercises, and functional training.
• Administer hands-on therapy sessions, managing a typical caseload of one patient per hour while ensuring effective and efficient treatment delivery.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date patient records in compliance with state regulations, including evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and billing information.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop holistic care plans, enhancing patient outcomes through joint efforts.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, pain management techniques, and the importance of adhering to rehabilitation programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily serve an outpatient population, specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation. Patients may range from post-operative individuals to sports-related injuries, providing a diverse and dynamic caseload. Your expertise will directly impact their recovery journeys, helping them regain mobility and autonomy. Your patient interactions will focus on understanding their unique situations and tailoring treatments that align with their personal rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapist license to practice in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on outpatient orthopedic care.
• A clear professional record, free of any disciplinary actions or licensing issues.
• Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques and advanced therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in a busy outpatient setting is preferred, particularly with a focus on orthopedic patients. Familiarity with measuring outcomes and the ability to utilize electronic health record systems is a plus. Compensation and Benefits
