Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist in our outpatient setting, you will work onsite, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physicians. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a balanced work-life environment. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and resources designed to support efficient therapy sessions and optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct initial evaluations and assessments of patient conditions using standardized tests, direct observation, and medical history.
• Formulate individualized treatment plans with specific, measurable goals based on the unique needs of each patient.
• Administer prescribed treatments, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training to improve mobility and overall health.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient progress, documenting changes and outcomes effectively.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions in our electronic medical records system, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Engage in ongoing communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and promote understanding of treatment approaches.
• Participate actively in professional development and educational programs, including mentoring students and collaborating on research projects.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and balance disorders. The role requires a compassionate approach, understanding the emotional and physical challenges faced by patients. You will have the opportunity to work with a varied demographic, tailoring therapies to individuals' specific circumstances and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution or possess a relevant higher degree or certification (Master's or DPT).
• Have a current license from the NJ State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, with the ability to maintain licensure through ongoing education.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with experience in outpatient rehabilitation, particularly in a dynamic team environment, will stand out. Familiarity with contemporary treatment modalities, including teletherapy services, could be advantageous.
