Position Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Full-Time Physical Therapist at Back To Shape Physical Health Therapy, located in Freehold, New Jersey. In our rehabilitation center, we prioritize quality patient care by ensuring manageable caseloads for our therapists. This role operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to create a balanced work-life dynamic while making a meaningful impact in the lives of your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for each patient, utilizing your clinical expertise to identify needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation strategies tailored to individual patient goals.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately in the CureMD electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team—including medical doctors (MDs), occupational therapists (OTs), chiropractors (DCs), nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants (PAs)—to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and wellness strategies to maintain progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Mentor and supervise students or junior staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on adult clients, typically aged between 40 and 65, who present a range of orthopedic conditions. You will work with patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or rehabilitating after injury, allowing you to impact a diverse group while honing your specialization in outpatient therapy. Your interactions will help foster patient relationships based on trust and respect, encouraging their commitment to recovery.

Qualifications

• Mandatory completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active New Jersey physical therapy license or eligibility for licensure is required.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to assess patients and adapt treatment protocols as needed.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to create rapport with patients and collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Previous experience with orthopedic rehabilitation is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CureMD or similar EMR platforms is a plus, aiding in efficient patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
