Work Environment\n

This role will allow you to work remotely, offering flexibility to manage your schedule. Our operations align with a community health clinic's principles, ensuring you have the support and structure necessary to thrive. We maintain extended hours of operation from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, allowing for a work-life balance conducive to professional and personal success. Our administrative support team is readily available to assist with scheduling and client services, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and tailor appropriate treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans with a keen focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, specifically Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and promote healing.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to stabilize patients in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and accessible resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to continually improve patient care processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of our practice is on children, adolescents, and families, addressing a wide array of trauma-related issues. You will be instrumental in guiding these clients toward recovery and resilience, playing a key role in their journey toward mental and emotional wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in Illinois.
\n
• Proficiency in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.

• Capability to deliver trauma-focused therapies effectively, such as EMDR and TF-CBT.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, demonstrating resilience yourself.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated effectiveness in working with a diverse range of clients, including couples (training provided).

• Strong decision-making skills, including self-guided initiative to complete client documentation within 24 hours.
