Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Offer crisis intervention and support to patients and their families during times of emotional distress or mental health emergencies.

• Educate children, adolescents, and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and vital community resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in rigorous compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Play an active role in team meetings, contributing insights and findings in case consultations to optimize treatment strategies.

• Stay abreast of current research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health practices to continuously enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents, ranging from toddlers to young adults, who experience a variety of mental health challenges. This compassionate role requires an understanding of the unique developmental stages and family structures that influence the mental health challenges of young individuals. You will be a pivotal part of a supportive network, helping to foster resilience and coping strategies among young patients and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a current and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California is mandatory.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in a child and adolescent mental health setting.

• Strong foundation in the principles of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.

• Proficient experience in providing individual and family therapy, guided by a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster rapport and trust with young clients and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
