Although the majority of work will be performed remotely, occasional in-person consultations may be required, depending on client needs and treatment progress.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to create a comprehensive understanding of each child and adolescent’s needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the unique developmental stages of young clients while considering familial dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and parent-child interaction therapy, tailored to individual client needs.

• Collaborate daily with child psychiatrists and an interdisciplinary team to ensure cohesive, comprehensive care aligned with treatment goals.

• Provide crisis intervention services during urgent mental health situations, ensuring safety and stability for clients.

• Educate clients and families about mental health issues and available treatment modalities, fostering a supportive network.

• Maintain thorough, confidential records in compliance with state regulations and ethical guidelines, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.

• Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents grappling with a range of mental health impairments, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Working closely with both individual clients and their families, you will be dedicated to fostering mental resilience and providing therapeutic support that enhances overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LCSW, LCSW-R, or LMHC in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably within child and adolescent settings.
