Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that consider the developmental stages and family dynamics of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that are evidence-based, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Provide individual and family therapy sessions that create a trusting and supportive environment, essential for therapeutic success.

• Engage in crisis intervention strategies to support children and adolescents during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective care.

• Educate young patients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources, promoting informed decision-making about treatment options.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.

• Maintain compliant and confidential documentation according to legal and ethical guidelines, using electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities.

• Stay up-to-date with current research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 5 to 18 years, addressing issues such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, and behavioral challenges. Your interventions will directly contribute to improving their emotional and psychological health, fostering resilience, and aiding in their overall development through informed care and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York state.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in child and adolescent mental health counseling is preferred.

• Strong grasp of evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly those applicable to young populations.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

• Effective interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate, child-centered demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
