Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify psychological, emotional, and developmental needs.

• Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans that align with the latest evidence-based practices and tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

• Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and family therapy, to address various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions that involve parents and guardians in the therapeutic process, empowering them to foster supportive environments at home.
\n
• Work closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care, ensuring all aspects of a patient’s mental health treatment are covered.

• Engage in crisis intervention strategies and support for families experiencing acute mental health emergencies, demonstrating compassion and a calm demeanor in challenging situations.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, promoting awareness and recovery.
\n
• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation to uphold compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations, contributing ideas and insights to enhance patient care and professional practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research, trends, and best practices in child and adolescent mental health, integrating new knowledge into your therapy practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents ages 5-18, providing support for a variety of mental health issues, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma-related issues, and other behavioral challenges. You will work collaboratively with patients' families and other healthcare professionals to create a nurturing and supportive network for our young clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and treatment modalities.

• Proven experience delivering individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
