Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of children and adolescents, incorporating family and developmental factors.

• Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing emotional and behavioral challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as family therapy, to encourage healthy communication and support within families.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists to coordinate a multifaceted approach to treatment, ensuring all aspects of a child's needs are met.

• Deliver crisis intervention services during acute mental health emergencies, providing immediate support to children and their families.
\n
• Educate families on mental health conditions and available community resources to empower them in supporting their child’s well-being.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices, treatment modalities, and developments in child psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. This role requires a compassionate approach, helping young clients navigate their mental health journeys and supporting their families in creating nurturing environments. Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing the complex interplay between developmental stages, family dynamics, and individual challenges faced by our younger population.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• Proficient understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with evidence-based practices and methodologies in therapeutic settings.

• Strong communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and multidisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in a child and adolescent mental health setting.

• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy and therapeutic interventions to children and families, enabling their healthy emotional growth.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong comfort level with technology to document treatment plans and progress accurately.

Compensation and Benefits\n
