Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to effectively identify their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to behavioral crises.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their therapeutic journey.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline your practice.

• Actively engage in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to stay current with best practices and emerging research in child and adolescent psychiatry.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a variety of mental health concerns, including providing tailored family therapy sessions to support caregivers.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all aspects of patient care are coordinated and comprehensive.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents who face various mental health issues. This includes addressing behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Your approach will consider their developmental stages and the unique dynamics of their family environments, allowing you to implement effective and relatable therapeutic strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master's degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, LCPC, LMHC, or equivalent in California is required, as we are unable to accept applicants with an associate license for billing purposes.

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, coupled with an understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications for patient management.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on establishing rapport with children, adolescents, and their families to foster trust and effective communication.
