Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of children and adolescents, utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans that adapt to developmental stages and familial contexts, ensuring they are both effective and actionable.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family systems therapy, aimed at addressing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to engage parents and caregivers, providing them with strategies to support their child’s emotional and behavioral health at home.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care, including referrals and coordination with external services as needed.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support in high-stress mental health emergencies involving adolescents, utilizing de-escalation techniques and developing safety plans.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health challenges, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their care journey.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other legal/ethical standards, ensuring accuracy in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

• Engage in continual professional development through case consultations, team meetings, and attendance at relevant workshops or conferences to stay updated on best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets children and adolescents facing various mental health crises, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• Preferred candidates should have a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling.
\n
• Strong expertise in child and adolescent mental health disorders, various evidence-based treatment methodologies, and therapeutic frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, effective in fostering rapport with this demographic.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities with a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and essential computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
