Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, effectively identifying their unique needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that respect developmental needs and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to address various mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and caregivers with skills to create a nurturing home environment.

• Work in collaboration with child psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure integrated and effective patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support during mental health emergencies concerning young patients.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities.

• Stay current with ongoing research and innovations in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing various mental health issues. This role requires a deep understanding of developmental psychology and the ability to connect with young individuals on their level. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid New York State license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent credentials.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and therapeutic approaches.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• Ability to assess, engage, and cultivate a relationship of trust with young clients and their families.

• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable using technology in providing care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly focused on child and adolescent populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This rewarding position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
