Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments using evidence-based tools to identify the specific needs and strengths of children and adolescents.

• Work in conjunction with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

• Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies, ensuring immediate and appropriate responses to behavioral crises.

• Educate clients and families about mental health conditions, treatment protocols, and available community resources to foster independence and understanding.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in both team-focused and individual professional development activities, including staying informed on current best practices and research in youth mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R (LCSW-R), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.

• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with children, adolescents, and their families, showcasing a patient-centered approach.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and adeptness in utilizing digital tools for effective client management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, reflecting your qualifications and experience.
