Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting. As part of our virtual practice, you will engage with clients through telehealth platforms, enabling you to deliver therapy within the comfort of their homes, which can help to reduce stigma and increase accessibility. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents, identifying their unique emotional and psychological needs.

• In collaboration with families, develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect each child’s developmental stage and familial context.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to address a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at providing support and guidance to parents and caregivers, enhancing their capability to foster a supportive home environment.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure the delivery of coordinated and comprehensive mental health care.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents, ensuring immediate and effective support is available.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in the recovery process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient management.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to enhance your clinical skills and stay informed on best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The mental health therapist will primarily work with a young patient population that includes children and adolescents facing various challenges such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and other behavioral issues. Our focus is not only on individual treatment but also on the family's role in the therapy process, making it imperative for the therapist to engage parents and caregivers in treatment whenever applicable.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Demonstrable knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques.

• Proven experience in delivering individual and family therapy specifically to children and adolescents.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, marked by a compassionate and child-centered approach to therapy.

• Ability to build rapport and cultivate trust with young clients and their families.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 105,000 annually, with additional bonuses based on performance metrics.
