Work Environment\n

This position offers flexibility through a remote work setting while also incorporating direct interactions within educational environments, such as schools. Our team schedules patient appointments primarily from Monday to Friday, with hours set from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There may be occasional evening shifts based on the unique needs and availability of our young clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to accurately identify their therapeutic needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that align with each client’s developmental stage and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate sessions, focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Engage families in therapy sessions to address relational dynamics and empower caregivers with strategies to support their children’s mental health.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care that addresses the multifaceted needs of each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective response to acute situations involving our young clients.

• Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, effective treatment methods, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and involvement.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress to comply with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Stay abreast of current research and developments in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, integrating new findings into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, and various behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to understanding the unique needs of young patients and their families, providing compassionate care that fosters trust and openness.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York is required.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, especially with children and adolescents, is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency in employing evidence-based therapies and understanding the complexities of child and adolescent mental health disorders is essential.

• Experience providing family and individual therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
