Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with the developmental stages and family dynamics of each young patient.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that effectively address various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing environment for their children.

• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.

• Offer crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate support for children and their families.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and useful community resources.
\n
• Maintain up-to-date, confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consults to share insights and learn from colleagues.

• Stay current with developments in child and adolescent psychiatry through continuing education and research activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will center on children and adolescents facing a plethora of mental health challenges. By focusing on evidence-based practices, you will support young individuals ranging in age from early childhood through late adolescence, ensuring they have the tools necessary to navigate life's complexities effectively. Each engagement will be tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient, empowering them towards growth and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license in New York as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling with a strong emphasis on child and adolescent populations.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities.

• Demonstrated experience conducting individual and family therapy sessions with young clients.
\n
• Proven ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills.

• Experience using electronic health record systems to manage patient information effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
