Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed and comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their mental health concerns and formulate clinical diagnoses.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s unique situation and goals.

• Facilitate individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions, promoting healing and emotional well-being.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention for clients facing acute mental health emergencies, employing effective de-escalation techniques.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records, including treatment plans and progress notes, in accordance with HIPAA and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources in their community.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health therapy, engaging in ongoing professional development through workshops and training.

The clients you will serve at Brain Builders range from children and adolescents to adults and families, encompassing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship conflicts. Your ability to connect with diverse populations and create an inclusive atmosphere will be essential in fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship that encourages clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

Qualifications\n

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) in the state of New York.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• Minimum of two years of related experience in a clinical setting is required.

• Exceptional clinical assessment and diagnostic skills are a must.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.

• Ability to work independently while also contributing to team objectives.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with telehealth services and remote counseling practices is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
