Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments through preliminary interviews to document clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment and intervention plans, ensuring they align with clients’ specific needs, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups.

• Facilitate impactful individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to promote healing and recovery.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Engage actively in interdisciplinary collaboration, developing intervention strategies in conjunction with other mental health professionals, physicians, and care teams.
\n
• Maintain follow-up communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, offering educational resources and support to clients and their families.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges, fostering an understanding of treatment plans to enhance support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients consist of a diverse community, ranging from children and adolescents to adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals and groups, providing them with the necessary support and tools to achieve long-term mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Experience in providing mental health counseling services in a clinical setting.
\n
• Strong proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate and effective client records.
\n
• Knowledge of the interplay between mental health and physical health issues, including familiarity with addiction disorders.
\n
• Commitment to adhering to the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a mental health counselor.

• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs.

• Solid understanding of pharmacological treatments and their impact on mental health.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
