Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
- Review and verify invoice coding and approvals
- Prepare and process weekly check, ACH, and wire payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships
- Assist with month-end closing activities and AP reporting
- Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience processing high-volume invoices
- Knowledge of month-end close procedures

This is a contract position based out of Westbrook, ME.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Westbrook, ME.
