Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily onsite and involves interactions within the home care sector, where you will provide physical therapy services in the comfort of children's homes. The work setting is dynamic and collaborative, offering an opportunity to work alongside various healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care. The typical working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 8 AM to 3 PM, allowing for structured yet flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations for children to assess their physical capabilities and needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each client.
• Regularly reassess patients' progress by monitoring clinical signs and symptoms, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Document all therapy sessions meticulously, including SOAP notes, progress summaries, and care plans, using our electronic health record system.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding the recovery process, potential challenges, and preventive measures.
• Achieve predetermined utilization and performance goals as set by the organization.
• Collaborate with fellow practitioners across multiple disciplines within Ensemble Therapy for clients receiving comprehensive services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on pediatric patients, particularly children with various physical therapy needs. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across different age groups, races, and ethnicities, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet the varied cultural and individual sensitivities inherent in our patient population.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; a Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is preferred.
• Current and valid licensure by the Board of Physical Therapy in the state of New York.
• Ability to proficiently conduct in-person evaluations and treatments, with the flexibility to engage in telehealth sessions when necessary.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for working with a broad spectrum of patients, exhibiting cultural competence and adaptability.
• A strong collaborative spirit and dedication to customer service, with a flexible mindset suitable for a rapidly changing healthcare landscape.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience working in pediatric physical therapy is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and experience in documentation best practices in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits
