In this full-time role, you'll work onsite in a fast-paced environment where you can make an immediate difference in the lives of our patients.

Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility offers an engaging and supportive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and open communication. Working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, our team enjoys a vibrant environment with a manageable caseload of approximately seven patients per day. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a well-rounded approach to recovery and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations to develop tailored therapy plans.
• Implement advanced rehabilitation techniques and modalities that enhance recovery and improve patient outcomes, utilizing tools such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and specialized equipment.
• Guide patients through their recovery journey by providing education on their conditions and the importance of adherence to prescribed therapy regimens.
• Collaborate with physiatrists, occupational therapists, and other rehabilitation team members to design and coordinate comprehensive care protocols.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet clinical goals and enhance the quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our outpatient facility, you will work primarily with individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Our patient demographic includes athletes seeking to return to peak performance, post-operative patients needing rehabilitative care, and individuals managing pain from musculoskeletal disorders. Your role will be crucial in helping them regain mobility, independence, and confidence in their physical abilities.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's degree or Doctorate in the field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of outpatient experience is essential to ensure you can effectively manage diverse patient cases.
