Work Environment

As part of our team, you will work onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, equipped with the latest technology and tools to help optimize patient care. Our friendly and collaborative work culture encourages communication among therapists and other healthcare professionals. You will have the flexibility to engage with patients Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic conditions, assessing their physical capabilities and functional limitations.
• Establish individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, utilizing evidence-based methods, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy techniques.
• Implement treatment strategies that may include modalities, strength training, stretching protocols, and functional exercises aimed at pain relief and enhanced mobility.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as required to achieve therapeutic goals collaboratively.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation techniques, and strategies for maximizing independence.
• Assist with fitting and recommending appropriate orthotic or assistive devices, ensuring that patients achieve optimal outcomes in self-care and ambulation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and contribute to a cohesive treatment approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily comprise individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with diverse populations, tailoring treatments to meet the specific needs of each patient. Your expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation will be critical to achieving positive outcomes and improving patients' quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New York.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, although recent graduates with a strong passion for this specialty are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques specific to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic clinical settings, demonstrating resilience in problem-solving.

Compensation and Benefits
