As a Senior Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will play a key role in providing specialized therapeutic services for older adults facing various psychiatric challenges. This full-time, remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your own home while supporting a population in critical need of mental health care.

Work Environment\n

The work environment at Serta Lane is designed to be collaborative and supportive. Our outpatient office operates primarily through remote settings, providing flexibility while maximizing patient care. However, occasional in-office meetings may be scheduled to enhance team collaboration and professional development. Our work schedule generally runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility for evening shifts as patient needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that consider the unique needs, physical health, and cognitive changes associated with aging.

• Design, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans focused on evidence-based interventions that align with the patient's goals and challenges.

• Provide effective therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, to address the complexities of geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Work closely with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive, holistic patient care.

• Deliver crisis intervention support, helping elderly patients navigate mental health emergencies with sensitivity and skill.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation in strict accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives.

• Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and advancements in geriatric psychiatry to continually enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our services cater to the elderly population, focusing on patients often experiencing multifaceted mental health challenges. This includes addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, and co-morbidities related to dementia. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist within the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating an established foundation in therapeutic practice.

• Deep knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders, along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and interventions.

• Proven experience in delivering individual and family therapy specifically designed for older adults.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a patient-centered approach that builds rapport and trust.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and related computer applications for documentation and patient management.

• An aptitude for working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
