Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial client assessments to thoroughly evaluate their mental health conditions and substance use histories, forming the basis for customized care plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques tailored specifically to each client’s unique needs and goals.
\n
• Deliver engaging individual, group, and family therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their emotions and experiences.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system efficiently.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team—including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers—to ensure comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of a client’s well-being.

• Participate actively in case reviews and treatment planning meetings, contributing insights and strategies to enhance treatment effectiveness.

• Provide timely crisis intervention services as required, utilizing de-escalation techniques to ensure client safety and immediate support.

• Stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health research and substance abuse treatment methodologies to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse clientele grappling with various mental health disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Many clients are navigating recovery following rehabilitation and are looking for ongoing support and empowerment through their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license to practice as a mental health counselor in the state of Florida, ensuring compliance with state laws and ethical standards.

• A bachelor’s degree in counseling or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred for more comprehensive involvement in the treatment process.

• At least 2 years of direct experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment, showcasing a strong ability to engage clients effectively.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate open dialogue and therapeutic alliance with clients.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and expertise to achieve optimal client outcomes.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly desirable, facilitating smooth documentation and information flow.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 75,000 and 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
