Accounts Payable Specialist

Randstad is partnering with a prominent industrial packaging, converting, and supply chain automation solutions provider based out of Wilmington, MA. This company specializes in custom packaging design, equipment automation, and lean supply chain management across North America. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounts payable experience and is able to start the week of October 5th. salary: $28 - $35 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries. Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments. Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks. Organize work area and filing system for accounts payable source documents to ensure a continuous transaction flow in accordance with the department’s prescribed policy standards and procedures. Compile and distribute reports to management, including month-end summaries and other pertinent financial information. Update weekly data sheets for various accounts payable metrics. Disburses petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation. Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Skills/Qualifications Minimum requirements include 1 to 2 years of related experience with a high volume industrial accounts payable department.
