Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations, taking detailed patient histories to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients presenting with a variety of urgent care needs.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and imaging; prescribe appropriate medications tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide ongoing patient education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of both acute and chronic conditions, ensuring understanding and engagement.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a seamless experience through referrals and follow-ups, which includes utilizing electronic medical records systems for documentation and patient management.
• Stay abreast of the latest clinical practices and innovations in patient care to continually improve outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate for this position will primarily work with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. You will encounter various urgent health issues such as minor injuries, acute illnesses, and preventive care needs. This role allows you to form meaningful relationships with patients while addressing their urgent health concerns efficiently in a welcoming office environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required, with further education preferred; candidates with a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program will be given priority.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in New York state essential for practice.
• Certification in a recognized Nurse Practitioner specialty area is required.
• Demonstrated skill in clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an urgent care, outpatient, or primary care setting is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Central NP Healthcare Solutions offers a highly competitive salary range of USD 150,000 to 160,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
