Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical assessments and the collection of medical history to develop detailed pain management plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective treatment protocols for patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies, monitor patient responses, and modify treatment regimens based on clinical guidelines and individual patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management techniques, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, lifestyle adjustments, and self-care practices to promote recovery.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients, addressing their concerns and enhancing their understanding of pain management strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients experiencing diverse pain-related conditions, ranging from acute injuries to chronic pain syndromes. You will work with a variety of demographics, ensuring that care is tailored to each patient's unique circumstances. Our diverse patient population includes individuals from varied backgrounds, emphasizing a need for culturally competent care and communication.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• New York State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• A minimum of two years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner, specifically in pain management or related medical fields.
• Exceptional clinical assessment skills with a robust knowledge of pain pharmacotherapy and interventional pain therapies.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an outpatient setting with a focus on pain management.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documenting patient assessments and care plans.
• Background in counseling patients about pain management techniques and chronic pain education.

Compensation and Benefits
