This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to connect with clients and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team from the comfort of your own home. Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for senior patients to establish their individual care needs and treatment goals.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on the emotional challenges associated with aging, including grief, loss, and transitions in life.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement holistic care plans aimed at improving clients’ mental health and overall well-being.

• Educate families and clinic staff about strategies to enhance the emotional health and quality of life for elderly clients.

• Offer specialized grief and loss counseling to clients and their families, particularly those facing terminal illness or end-of-life issues.

• Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health therapies to help maintain and improve the cognitive functions and emotional states of older adults.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve elderly clients who confront a range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and stress stemming from life changes, physical health conditions, and the complexities of aging. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• A current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license is mandatory.

• At least 4 years of recent experience in providing mental health support and counseling to geriatric clients.
