Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health status, utilizing standardized tools and personal interviews.

• Develop individualized and evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, expectations, and goals.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities in your practice, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices, to effectively address a wide range of mental health challenges.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, case managers, and social workers to ensure a well-rounded and coordinated approach to client care.

• Provide crisis intervention when needed, including telephone support, emergency assessments, and immediate crisis counseling, fostering a safe environment for clients in distress.

• Engage in community outreach programs at the clinic, leading workshops and educational initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness and reducing stigma in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse population, including individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will work with clients facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and relationship challenges. Qualifications\n

• A current, unrestricted license as a Licensed Independent Certified Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with a preference for candidates holding a master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with clients.

• Experience and sensitivity in working with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, demonstrating cultural competence in your approach.

• Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of all client interactions and treatment progress.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of relevant experience as a mental health therapist is preferred. Experience in community mental health settings or working with specific populations such as adolescents or veterans, would be advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and reporting is a plus.
